Who we are

Greetings from the quirkily unconventional Moodys! We plopped down in the Twin Cities and sealed the deal on our cozy castle (okay, it’s more of a house, but let’s not rain on our parade) on the suspenseful day of the 2016 elections. Sure, most lovebirds flock to the sun-kissed south or west burbs, but we snagged a real gem of a home!

As a DINC (that’s Dual Income, No Kids, for the acronym-deprived), we feel like fish out of water in suburbia.

Kristine hails from the shimmering shores of East Grand Forks and proudly waved her graduation flag at UND before diving into the MBA pool at the University of Mary. Meanwhile, I’m the proud product of a teeny mountain hamlet in Virginia that’s so small it doesn’t even have an official welcome sign. After a whirlwind 10 years in the Air Force tinkering with ICBM missiles (yes, those rockets), I graduated from MetroState with not one, but two shiny degrees. Oh, and I did a little detour through marriage and divorce in Minot, ND. Luckily, I crossed paths with my soulmate on an online dating adventure in 2010, and we tied the knot in a fairy-tale castle in Sligo, Ireland in 2012!

These days, we both work our magic from home for government gigs that come with benefits more delightful than a surprise snow day. COVID turned us into cozy hermits, but we’re on a quest to escape the mundane with hobbies that spark joy! We cruise around on our spiffy Victory motorcycles when the weather cooperates, and our trusty Vintage Cruiser camper is our ticket to exploring the wild wonders of MN and WI. Not to mention, we’re under the benevolent rule of two tiny pups who dictate our every move and accompany us on all our escapades!
